Infrared OPOs
With up to 25W of output power, the Argos optical parametric oscillators (OPOs) generates the highest power output of any OPO on the market. The output is single mode with narrow linewidth and unmatched frequency stability. Moreover, the system is tunable from 1.4 to 4.6 µm, making the Argos OPOs ideal for a wide range of applications such as spectroscopy, gas sensing and laser cooling. A limited amount of overlap in the wavelength coverage between Argos’ four modules is provided by temperature variation of the nonlinear crystal.
New Visible range OPOs
With the new visible Argos OPOs you can now reach wavelength below 1 µm. Get Watt-level output anywhere from below 600 to 900nm and go even lower with SFG and FHG stages. As with all the Argos systems they are robust with a monolithic cavity pumped by a fiber laser. It operates at room temperature with only air-cooling. The new visible Argos OPOs are ideally suited for e.g.:
- Laser cooling and trapping
- Optical lattice and tweezers
- Rydberg atoms and Bose-Einstein condensates (BEC)
You can read more about the technology behind the Argos Optical Parametric Oscillators in the June 2011 issue of Electro Optics and in the Argos OPO Brochure.
